Finding a home in Delft
Much of the supply is managed by DUWO, and it runs out quickly in summer. As Delft is right next to Rotterdam and The Hague, many students live there and commute by train or bike.
Sign up with DUWO as soon as you're admitted (or earlier, if they allow it).
Also look at Rotterdam and The Hague: 10-15 minutes by train.
Never pay a deposit without a signed contract or without checking who the owner is.
